Trainerize free plan: what one client gets
The Trainerize free plan, called Basic on its pricing page, coaches 1 client at no cost, needs no credit card and, in Trainerize's words, never expires. It is a plan, not a trial. It includes the mobile app for iOS and Android, workout programs and delivery, basic in-app messaging, and habit and lifestyle coaching. The pricing FAQ adds basic nutrition tracking.
Not on the free plan: any paid add-on, the AI Workout Builder (a prompt-based workout drafter in open beta) and a searchable Trainerize.me profile (the coach's public page). Nutrition here means software features, not nutrition, medical or legal advice.

Try Trainerize →The 30-day free trial is separate
The trial is its own offer and runs 30 days. Per Trainerize's help center it holds unlimited active clients and needs no credit card, and you can start it only on the web. It leaves out paid add-ons, the Custom Branded App, the AI Workout Builder and any custom exercise video upload after the first.
At day 30 the account moves to the free plan with no charge, and the pricing FAQ says you do not need to cancel. Clients above the free limit are deactivated or downgraded to Basic clients, who can book and buy but cannot use programs, so expect extra clients to lose coaching access.
From free to paid: Grow and Pro 5
Grow is $10 a month billed monthly, or $9 a month billed annually, for 2 coaching client seats. Pro 5 is $25 a month billed monthly, or $23 billed annually, for 5. Grow is the first plan with the AI Workout Builder. You can upgrade at any time, with a credit card or a Visa or Mastercard debit card. The Trainerize pricing guide lists every seat band.
Coach 2 clients and Grow is the smallest paid step. At 5 clients Pro 5 costs $25 a month billed monthly, while Everfit's Starter plan is free.
Refunds and canceling once you pay
Trainerize's pricing FAQ says it does not issue refunds for unused portions of a subscription, and its Business User Terms say annual fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable. You cancel only inside your account. The help center says a canceled account stays active on the free plan, but save your client list and program PDFs before you cancel. The Trainerize review covers the trial, free plan, refunds and canceling in one place.
Free plans and trials at Everfit, TrueCoach and the rest
Everfit's Starter plan is Forever Free for up to 5 clients. Trainerize's pricing FAQ says it is one of only two platforms in its category, alongside Everfit, with a permanent free tier. Of the ten rival pricing pages read on October 30, 2026, Everfit's is the only one that shows a permanent free plan.
TrueCoach's pricing page offers a 14-day trial with no credit card and a 90-day money-back guarantee on annual plans for first-time subscribers. PT Distinction offers a 1-month trial and requires card details. Kahunas offers a 14-day trial and takes your card at sign-up, charging nothing until the trial ends. Everfit's trial needs no credit card.
Pick Everfit for a free plan with up to 5 clients. Pick TrueCoach for a no-card trial plus the annual-plan guarantee. Pick Trainerize to coach 1 client free and step up to Grow later. The best free personal training software page compares more options.
