Side-by-side comparison

Trainerize vs Everfit: how each counts clients, what is included and who should pick which

Trainerize and Everfit side by side from each vendor's pages: free plans, client bands, add-ons, branding and which fits coaches with 15 to 100 clients.

Last materially reviewed 2026-10-30

Quick answerBoth apps price by client count and both say clients never pay. The main difference is the shape of the bill. Everfit lists a free plan for up to 5 clients and finer client steps. Trainerize sells a ladder of seat bands with separate add-ons. Each vendor's page favors itself, so compare the live pages at your own client count.
Trainerize is likely to fit when

✓ Independent coaches and small studios with about 30 to 100 coaching clients who want programs, nutrition, messaging and payments in one app

✓ Coaches whose roster mixes training clients with clients who only book or buy

✓ Studios that need integrations with a membership system on a Studio or Enterprise plan

✓ Coaches who want a branded app and can plan for the setup route

Important limitations

— Coaches with only a few clients who can start on a free plan

— Coaches who want one flat price per client with no add-ons

— Businesses that mainly need gym membership management

— Anyone who only needs a client-side login or app download

Trainerize vs Everfit: the main difference

Both products give a coach a web account and an iOS and Android app for clients, with workout programming, nutrition tracking, habits and messaging. Both vendors say clients never pay. The difference is how the bill is assembled. Trainerize sells client seat bands and then add-ons for nutrition, business tools, video, payments and a branded app. Everfit sells Pro and Studio plans in many client steps, lists branding and booking inside the plan, and sells automation, payments, meal plans and on-demand content as add-ons.

Searchers type the pair both ways, as Trainerize vs Everfit and Everfit vs Trainerize. The comparison is the same. Both vendors' pages were read on October 30, 2026, and amounts stay on the live pages.

Cost structure by client count: free tiers and bands

  • Free plan: Trainerize allows 1 coaching client. Everfit's Starter plan allows up to 5 clients.
  • Pro steps: Trainerize Pro sells seats of 5, 15, 30, 50, 75, 100 and 200. Everfit Pro lists steps of 5, 10, 20, 35, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 200, 250 and 300 clients.
  • Where a 15-client coach lands: Pro 15 on Trainerize and the 20-client step on Everfit. A 25-client coach lands on Pro 30 and the 35-client step.
  • Larger plans: Everfit Studio covers 50 to 500 clients and lists group chat, broadcast messages and on-demand content. Trainerize Studio Plus starts at 500 seats and includes every add-on, API access and onboarding support.
  • Billing: both list monthly and annual billing with an annual discount. Read each live toggle.

Add-ons and extra fees on top of the plan

  • Trainerize add-ons: Advanced Nutrition Coaching, Business, Video Coaching, Stripe Integrated Payments and a custom branded app, which is a one-time setup fee on Pro and included on Studio.
  • Everfit add-ons: Autoflow automation, priced by the number of clients in an active automation, plus On-Demand Collections, Payments and Packages, and Meal Plans and Recipe Books.
  • Branding: Everfit says logo and color branding is available on Pro or Studio and lists a white-label option on Enterprise. Trainerize's Pro branded app has its own Android listing but no separate Apple listing, and Studio adds your own store listing.
  • Booking: Everfit lists booking and scheduling as a Pro feature. On Trainerize, shareable booking links and prospect booking sit in the Business add-on.

What each vendor says about itself and the other

Trainerize's pricing FAQ says it and Everfit are the only two platforms in the category with a permanent free plan. That is the vendor's claim, and PT Distinction and Kahunas, named below, offer free trials instead. Trainerize's home page says 400,000 or more trainers and coaches use it, and Everfit's says over 380,000 coaches. Both counts are the vendors' own.

Neither vendor page is neutral, and the free plan limits are the clearest hard fact: one coaching client against five. Treat feature lists as a starting point and confirm plan contents in a trial.

Which to choose by client count and workflow

  • Choose Trainerize if some clients only book or buy, because Basic clients do not count against the seat limit, if you want nutrition planning and payments from one vendor, or if you run a studio and need Mindbody or Glofox integrations.
  • Choose Everfit if you are starting with a handful of clients, want finer steps between 15 and 50 clients, or want branding and booking inside the plan.
  • Under about 15 clients: start with a free plan and revisit the bands as you grow. Over 100 clients: compare the Studio tiers and ask each vendor for a quote.
  • Consider others: PT Distinction adds a monthly fee per extra client, Kahunas bills per seat, and searchers also pair both apps with TrueCoach. See the personal training software shortlist.
