Trainerize pricing: how plans, client bands and add-ons build the bill

How Trainerize plans, client seat bands, add-ons and a branded app fee build the bill for coaches with 15 to 100 clients, read from the vendor's pages.

Last materially reviewed 2026-10-30

Quick answerTrainerize pricing has four parts: a plan with a coaching client seat limit, a monthly or annual billing choice, optional add-ons and, for a branded app, a setup fee. For 30 to 100 clients the add-ons usually decide the bill. This guide shows how the parts add up and leaves every amount to the vendor's live pricing page.
Trainerize is likely to fit when

✓ Independent coaches and small studios with about 30 to 100 coaching clients who want programs, nutrition, messaging and payments in one app

✓ Coaches whose roster mixes training clients with clients who only book or buy

✓ Studios that need integrations with a membership system on a Studio or Enterprise plan

✓ Coaches who want a branded app and can plan for the setup route

Important limitations

— Coaches with only a few clients who can start on a free plan

— Coaches who want one flat price per client with no add-ons

— Businesses that mainly need gym membership management

— Anyone who only needs a client-side login or app download

Trainerize pricing: how the plans and client bands work

Trainerize sells a free plan, a Grow plan, Pro plans, Studio Plus plans and add-ons. The free plan allows one coaching client and Grow allows two. Pro is sold in seat bands of 5, 15, 30, 50, 75, 100 and 200 clients. Studio Plus starts at 500 seats, with custom pricing listed for five or more locations. The pricing page groups Grow, Pro 5 and Pro 15 as individual trainer plans, Pro 30 to Pro 100 as small business plans, and the larger plans as medium to enterprise.

The band you buy is a ceiling, not an average. A coach with 31 coaching clients needs the next band up, so the cost per client is lowest just below each band edge and highest just above it. The pricing page and help center were read on October 30, 2026, and amounts stay on the live page.

Which clients use a seat: coaching, Basic and offline

  • Coaching clients: full access to programs, workout tracking, meal tracking, habits, groups and messaging. They use a seat.
  • Basic clients: they can book appointments and buy products but cannot use training programs, track workouts or meals, or message in the app. The pricing FAQ says they do not count against the limit and that a paid plan can hold an unlimited number.
  • Offline clients: the coach manages everything, and the client has no login and gets no invitation email. The help center says an offline client still uses a seat.
  • Pending clients: when the seat limit is full, new clients show as pending. Moving to a bigger band does not convert them automatically, so the coach changes their client type by hand.

Add-ons and fees that sit on top of the plan

  • Advanced Nutrition Coaching: a monthly add-on with a smart meal planner, recipes and shopping lists. The pricing page lists a higher monthly rate from Pro 30 to Pro 200 than for Grow, Pro 5 and Pro 15.
  • Business: a monthly add-on that bundles product selling, referrals, prospect booking, announcements and trial products. The help center says it includes the Stripe and video features.
  • Stripe Integrated Payments and Video Coaching: each is also sold alone for a monthly fee. Video includes a set number of call and streaming hours on Grow and Pro, and extra time can be bought.
  • Custom branded app: on Pro, a one-time setup fee. Studio plans include a branded app, and publishing your own Apple listing needs an Apple developer account that Apple charges for.
  • FitMetrics: an AI assistant for messaging and check-ins, listed on paid plans at a per-client rate.
  • Rules: add-ons are not available on the free plan and are not part of the trial. Only the account owner can buy them, and Studio plans include them all.

Billing, trial, upgrades, refunds and canceling

  • Billing: plans are month to month unless you choose annual billing, which is charged once a year and discounted. Read the live toggle for the amount.
  • Currency and payment: amounts are listed in US currency before applicable taxes, and the help center says it accepts credit cards and Visa or Mastercard debit cards.
  • Upgrades take effect immediately with a prorated charge. Downgrades start at the end of the billing cycle, so trim your client list to fit the new band first.
  • Refunds: the vendor says it does not refund the unused part of a subscription.
  • Canceling: the account moves to the free plan with one active client. Other clients become Basic or deactivated, add-ons end and recurring payment products are canceled.
  • 2026 update: the vendor's pricing update FAQ says new rates reach invoices from March 16, 2026, by renewal date.

Is it worth it at your client count? A break-even check

Use your own numbers. Add the monthly price of your band to the add-ons you will really use, then divide by your coaching clients to get a software cost per client. Compare that with what one client pays you in a month. If it is a small share, the band is not the problem, and the add-ons are where to look. If many clients pay you little, a free tier or a per-seat tool may fit better.

Watch the edges. A coach at 31 clients pays for the next band, so check whether a bigger band or pruning inactive clients is cheaper. Annual billing helps only if you will stay the full year, because unused time is not refunded.
